Understanding Taxi Fares in Brussels:
What You Need to Know

The Government decree of October 6, 2022 sets the rates to be applied for the various taxi services. These rates are automatically indexed on January 1 of each year, starting January 1, 2024.

Price of trips without reservation (only for station taxis)
The flat rates are as follows:

1. Support: €2.60
   

2. Night supplement (between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.): €2
   

3. Price per minute (per minute started): €0.60
   

4. Price per kilometer: €2.30
   

5. Minimum fare: €8.00
   

6. Fares for trips with reservation (for station taxis and street taxis)
   
   
   The minimum rates are as follows:

1. Support: €1.50
   

2. Price per minute (per minute started): €0.40
   

3. Price per kilometer: €1.50
   

4. Minimum fare: €8.00
   

5. Maximum rates are capped at 200% of minimum rates.

Grand Luxe Street Taxi Fares

The minimum rates are as follows:

1. Support: €5.00
   

2. Price per minute (per minute started): €1.00
   

3. Price per kilometer: €3.00
   

4. Maximum rates are capped at 500% of minimum rates.

Ceremonial Taxi Fares
The minimum rates are as follows:

Minimum period of 3 consecutive hours: €90.00 excluding VAT

For each additional hour: €30.00 excluding VAT

Collective taxi fares

The customer's flat-rate contribution for a collective taxi ride authorized by the Government is set at €6.00 per user and per ride. Currently, the only authorized service is Collecto.
